The thermostat maintains a suitable temperature in the refrigerator or freezer compartment. Some models have an additional thermostat to protect the compressor from overheating. The device differs in structure and function depending on the type of refrigeration equipment. Determining whether you need to replace the thermostat is easy. It will be indicated by the following signs:
- The refrigerator works without stopping or does not turn on, despite the correct indication and program;
- Incorrect temperature in the food storage chambers: The temperature in the fridge compartment has become negative (icing of the main compartment) or the temperature in the freezer compartment is high;
- Equipment switches off arbitrarily and does not switch back on for a long time;
The thermostat must be replaced – such appliance cannot be repaired. The thermostat must be replaced after the first signs of breakage are detected, otherwise the wrong temperature mode will accelerate food spoilage. If you need to thermostat replace in your refrigerator – contact our company!
